We are seriously committed to carbon neutrality in order to fulfill our social responsibility as a public entity of society. We are building a large-scale power generation facility in Pursat, Cambodia, at a cost of approximately 6 billion yen. We are also working on a fairly extensive power generation project in Thailand with a capacity of 154 MW.
The idea is to build a solar panel farm. Thailand accounts for 45% of our group's total electricity consumption, and this renewable energy will cover about 33% of the Bang Pa-in and Lop Buri plants and 12.5% of the group's total electricity consumption.
The total investment is 17 billion yen in Thailand and 6 billion yen in Cambodia, for a total of 23 billion yen.
At this year's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the Articles of Incorporation will be amended to add the renewable energy business to the Company's business objectives.
