Basic Approach
In the MinebeaMitsumi Group Environmental Policy, the item "contribution to the international community" states that we recognize that our business activities may have an effect on biodiversity and ecosystems, and that we will work to conserve nature.
Mangrove tree-planting campaign (Philippines)
In June 2016, as part of environmental activities at the Mitsumi Electric Cebu Plant, 150 people including employees and their families, and participants from cooperating factories, planted 7,500 mangrove seedlings on the tidal flats of Danao City, where Cebu Plant is located. This is the seventh occasion since mangrove tree planting activities of the Cebu Plant began in September 2012, and the total number of trees planted has now reached 18,500.
We will continue to plant trees and proactively protect the environment in order to maintain the ecosystem and to protect the livelihoods of people on the coast.
