Basic Approach
So that as many people as possible may become aware of the MinebeaMitsumi Group's initiatives to preserve the environment, we publicize those initiatives and their results on the Internet and through a variety of means including CSR reports, company brochures, and annual reports. We also actively take part in regional activities and create opportunities to introduce the Minebea Group's environmental initiatives to the public.
Presentation about Plastic Waste Reduction Activities at the International Forum (Cambodia Plant)
On December 3, 2019, Cambodia plant presented about their plastic waste reduction activity of their plant cafeterias at the "National Forum on Action Against Plastic Waste in Cambodia" held by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Cambodia Office.
Ahead of others, the plant started this initiative to reduce plastic waste in the cafeterias in March 2019 and replaced disposal plastic bags used for fruits to reusable plastic plates.

The 14th Biannual Meeting with Representatives of Miyota-machi, Nagano Prefecture (Karuizawa Plant)
In November 2019, MinebeaMitsumi Karuizawa Plant hosted its regular meeting with representatives of Miyota-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture, where the company is headquartered.
The meeting is held twice a year to foster mutual trust with local community members and this is the 14th time to hold such meeting. We welcomed eight representatives and exchanged information on recent updates and discussed about how to respond to disasters and other topics.
Meeting with Representatives of Yamagata Prefecture
On November 14, 2019, the meeting with representatives of Yamagata Prefecture was held at Yamagata Plant of MITSUMI ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.
A total of six representatives, including Governor Yoshimura and key officers in charge of actual work visited the plant as a part of a company visit scheme that the Governor of Yamagata Prefecture periodically visit companies located in Yamagata Prefecture.
We had a plant tour after explaining MinebeaMitsumi's business outline. In the meeting, we reported about our CSR activities such as environmental activities and acceptance of the local high school students. We also explained about the employee composition and recruitment situation and exchanged information about issues that the plant faces and support functions we expect from Yamagata Prefecture.

Meeting with Representatives of Yonago City (Yonago Plant)
On August 23, 2019, MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s Yonago Plant invited representatives of Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture to a meeting.
This annual meeting is held continually to build trusting relationships and talk with members of the region.
It was attended by a total of five people including Mayor Igi.
First, MinebeaMitsumi explained business results and social contribution activities. During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on various topics at the meeting, including invigorating Yonago City, encouraging people to live there permanently, employment, SDGs(*1) initiatives.
(*1) SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals which was adopted by the UN in 2015.
