About Fujisawa Plant
Originally built as a factory of Tokyo Screw Co., Ltd in Minato City, Tokyo, 1898, MinebeaMitsumi's Fujisawa Plant was relocated to the current address in 1921. During the war, the plant was designated as a joint management factory for the armed forces, but shifted its portfolio post-war to agricultural hoes and home-use sewing machines. In 1981, the company was renamed to Minebea Co., Ltd. Fujisawa Manufacturing Unit following the absorption-type merger. The Fujisawa Plant currently handles aircrafts fasteners, machined components, measuring equipment products with strain gauge as its core technology, and mechanical products like railway/industrial motors and magnetic clutches. In 2025, the Shonan X-Port (Former Administration Center) was partially renovated and reopened the cafeteria and meeting rooms.
