Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. provided Free Food to 7,000 Employees and donated Canned Fish to Orphanage
During the COVID-19 epidemic period, Minebea(Cambodia) stockpiled 12,000 canned fish meals as emergency foods for our employees.
Fortunately, we did not have to use them, but their expiration date was coming up in October 2023.
To save these foods from being thrown away, administrator of canteen collaborated with the seven vendors in our canteen and held a food fair in the factory canteen from August 14th to 25th, 2023.
In addition to offering a variety of menus to delight our employees, we also prepared a special nutritionally balanced menu that many of them enjoyed.
Additionally, other canned food was donated to an orphanage in Siem Reap, another one in Phnom Penh with the Cambodian national soccer team, and a Kandal provincial government where the Factory located.
The MinebeaMitsumi Group is dedicated to "hunger issues" and "environmental issues" by reducing food waste through these activities.
