MinebeaMitsumi Sponsors Expo 2025 as an Operating Participant Supplier
- Illuminating Gallery WEST Using Wirelessly Movable LED Lighting Fixture, SALIOT -

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Head Office: Nagano Prefecture, Representative Director, Chairman & CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma; hereinafter referred to as "MinebeaMitsumi") is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (organized by Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition; hereinafter “Expo 2025") as an operating participant supplier. As part of the sponsorship, the company will provide 200 units of its smart LED lighting fixture, SALIOT. The Expo 2025 is scheduled to take place in Yumeshima, Osaka Prefecture, from Sunday, April 13, 2025 to Monday, October 13, 2025.

The company's IoT lighting fixture, SALIOT (Smart Adjustable Light for the Internet Of Things), features optically designed lens utilizing resin molding technology developed through the LED backlight manufacturing. Furthermore, its proprietary motor control technology—central to the company's core business—combined with in-house software development leveraging wireless technology enables remote adjustment of light's direction, intensity, color, and angle via smartphones and tablets. Recognized as an innovative product suitable for environments requiring on-site lighting adjustments, SALIOT has been widely adopted in a variety of settings, including art galleries, to museums, hotels, showroom, and more.

Characterized by its compactness, lightness, and wirelessly movable/dimmable functions, the SALIOT S3 series, featuring a color rendering index* of Ra 90, will be installed in the general-purpose exhibition facility called Gallery WEST at Expo 2025. This will create an optimal ambience at Gallery WEST, providing a warm welcome to visitors from far and wide.
SALIOT allows users to remotely adjust lighting settings, including direction, intensity, color, and more, via smartphones in a flexible manner, creating an ideal exhibition space tailored to various needs and layouts while minimizing control efforts for diverse events scheduled to be held at Gallery WEST.

Additionally, its compact and lightweight design (W: 179mm, H: 221mm, φ53mm, Weight: 0.8 kg) allows visitors to experience the high-performance lighting fixture used in art galleries and museums.

Based on the corporate philosophy, "Producing better products, with faster speed, in larger numbers, at lower cost and by smarter means," MinebeaMitsumi will remain committed to contributing to the creation of a prosperous society and addressing social issues.

About SALIOT

The new LED lighting fixture "SALIOT (Smart Adjustable Light for the Internet Of Things)" developed by MinebeaMitsumi Inc. applies resin molding technology cultivated in LED backlights. By controlling the distance between the optically designed lens and the light emitting diode with a motor, light irradiation range and angle can be automatically adjusted. Furthermore, through the application of wireless technology in the development of our original software, it easily controls not only the light distribution angle and brightness, but also the brightness and irradiation position up, down, left and right with a smartphone or tablet.
