Notice regarding Establishment of Joint Venture
between MinebeaMitsumi and Super Energy Corporation
We hereby announce that NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. (hereinafter "Minebea Thai"), a group company of MinebeaMitsumi, concluded a joint venture agreement with Super Energy Corporation PLC (hereinafter "Super Energy") to establish a joint venture company to generate solar power in Thailand.
MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Registered Head Office: Nagano, Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma, hereinafter "MinebeaMitsumi") aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and we MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Registered Head Office: Nagano, Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma, hereinafter "MinebeaMitsumi") aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and we are working on the installation and operation of solar power generation facilities and the utilization of renewable energy at various bases of the MinebeaMitsumi Group. On May 10, 2024, we made a decision to operate the solar power generation business at our plant in Thailand for the purpose of expanding the procurement of renewable energy, reducing electricity costs, and reducing CO2 emissions.
Super Energy is a listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand whose core businesses are renewable energy-related business, IT business, and water supply business. Since their establishment in 1994, they have been involved in over 100 solar power generation projects in Thailand and have extensive know-how in solar power generation.
Through our joint venture with Super Energy, we will build a system to efficiently supply solar power and maximize the use of renewable energy at the MinebeaMitsumi Group's Thai factories.
