Announcement of the Acquisition of AaZ Pesage and Centre Pesage of French
by Sartorius Mechatronics T&H GmbH

Minebea Co., Ltd. ("Minebea") hereby announces the acquisition of AaZ Pesage("AaZ") and Centre Pesage("Centre"), headquartered in France by Sartorius Mechatronics T&H GmbH("Sartorius MTH"), Minebea's subsidiary in Germany on Friday, April 29, 2016. AaZ and Centre, previous partners and weighing specialists in the industrial sector will be fully integrated into Sartorius MTH.

AaZ has innovative products & excellent skilled services for diverse weighing applications with own-designed scales. Their customers are in food, recycling & pharmaceutical.

Centre also has in advanced products & excellent skilled services for diverse weighing applications with focus on truck scales. Their customers are in agriculture, environment & pharmaceutical.

The synergy of these acquisitions is significant opportunity expanding French customer base for Minebea and Sartorius MTH products. Enhancing competitive product portfolio, particularly in integrating software development capability to configure customer basis system. In addition, we enable to increase market share in growing food processing, hygienic & pharmaceutical applications.

Sartorius MTH, a leading industrial measuring and inspection technology company, has signed an acquisition agreement for AaZ and Centre, headquartered in France. AaZ and Centre, previous partners and weighing specialists in the industrial sector will be fully integrated into the company. Revenue estimations for the fiscal year 2016 rank of Sartorius MTH will be the third-largest weighing & inspection specialist in the French market.

With this acquisition, Sartorius MTH takes a step toward developing a greater market share and building a strong organization for Sartorius MTH along with a strong partner organization under Minebea ownership. The main goal of the acquisition is a better service and strong regional organization for our customers.

Peter Grimley, Managing Director and President of Sartorius MTH, is sure of the benefits for all involved: "France is a major European market for us. The added regional depot structure will support a strategy of close customer support and expand the product sales reach with close service support for Sartorius MTH. The new structure will aid access to new customers and markets and additional product in order to grow the overall business.
