Minebea to Launch Dr. Kazuo Kawasaki-Designed
"COOL LEAF" Keyboard at Retail Outlets in Japan
Minebea Co., Ltd. will commence launching its entirely flat keyboard "COOL LEAF"—which was developed and commercialized using a design by Dr. Kazuo Kawasaki (Design Director, Professor at Osaka University Graduate School, Doctor of Medicine)—at retail outlets in Japan from Friday, May 13, 2011.
The COOL LEAF keyboard adopts an innovative design for characters to emerge on the entirely flat mirror-like panel. Not only beautiful to the eye, it is a highly functional next-generation input device. Expected applications include dimly lit home-theater environments; medical treatment sites and food plants where cleanliness is important; and clean rooms where dust resistance is required.
