Due to the approach of Typhoon Hagibis, the 12th MinebeaMitsumi Cup -World Curling Tour Japan that was scheduled to be held from Saturday, October 12th through Monday, October 14th, 2019 will be cancelled.

The 12th MinebeaMitsumi Cup –World Curling Tour Japan, supported by MinebeaMitsumi Inc. ("MinebeaMitsumi") is scheduled to be held from Saturday, October 12th through Monday, October 14th, 2019 at the Curling Hall Miyota (Miyota-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano).
Since 2007, MinebeaMitsumi has been supporting a non-profit organization (NPO), ASAMA Highland Sports Club, which manages the Curling Hall Miyota. From 2015, the MinebeaMitsumi Cup, co-sponsored by MinebeaMitsumi, is incorporated into the World Curling Tour Development ("WCT-D") where curling teams compete to gain points (OOM) for a participation in the World Curling Tour ("WCT"), which is an international curling competition. The tournament was renamed to the World Curling Tour Japan from last year as it is now managed by the World Curling Tour Japan (WCT-J), which is an organization under the direct control of the WTC, and it is held as a more upgraded tournament as points earned here are linked to the Japan Championship.
Twelve competitive domestic curling teams, including those of a participant of the Japan Championship and champions of various open tournaments, get together and have heated games at Miyota-machi. All games of this exciting tour are scheduled to be broadcasted live on YouTube.
MinebeaMitsumi is committed to continuing to contribute to the amateur sports promotion and revitalization of local communities.
