Participation in Initiatives
Support for the United Nations Global Compact
We expressed support for the United Nations Global Compact in January 2012.
We also participates in the sectional meeting organized by Global Compact Network Japan and is committed to the achievement of the Ten Principles in cooperation with leading companies in Japan.
The United Nations Global Compact's Ten Principles
| Human Rights | Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses. |
| Labour | Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining; Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour; Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. |
| Environment | Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges; Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies. |
| Anti-Corruption | Principle10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. |
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
We also stress the importance of and strive to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015.
MinebeaMitsumi Group's Key Sustainability Issues (Materiality) were established with reference to the SDGs. We are also working with an awareness of the relevant issues of the SDGs in setting and implementing sustainability targets.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global body that enables businesses to set emission reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. These targets are consistent with the 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement, aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
In 2024, MinebeaMitsumi's greenhouse gas reduction targets for the fiscal year ending March 2031 were officially certified by the SBTi as being scientifically aligned with the levels required by the Paris Agreement.

Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
CDP is a non-profit organization established in the United Kingdom in 2000, and cooperates with institutional investigators to require companies and cities to disclose strategies and data on climate change, water, and forests, and other issues.
