"Spring Gutter Cleanup" conducted at the Yamagata Business Division
In April 2024, employees at the Yamagata Business Division conducted a cleanup of the sidewalks and gutters around the office.
The activity aimed to contribute to "improving the local environment," one of the Yamagata Business Division's key environmental goals, and was an important initiative to fulfill corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Led by the General Affairs Department, this first cleanup of the fiscal year focused on cleaning the gutters on the west and south sides of the facility. Participants removed a large amount of gravel from the sidewalks and carefully scooped up accumulated mud, wood debris, and flower petals from the gutters. They collected approximately 90 kg (equivalent to nine 10-kg trash bags) of waste.
Despite the cloudy and slightly chilly weather, everyone warmed up nicely by the time the activity concluded. The cleaned sidewalks and gutters looked completely transformed, creating a more comfortable environment for local residents.
