The Hamamatsu Plant hosts a plant tour for students from the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Numazu College
MinebeaMitsumi Inc. Hamamatsu Plant hosted 38 fourth-year students from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Numazu National College of Technology for a career training session on Wednesday, September 18.
It was our first time hosting students from a technical college. When our engineers were explaining, they showed great interest, taking notes, and actively asking questions.
We are pleased to receive the following comments from the students after the plant tour was taken place: "I was surprised when I found out that this plant was not manufacturing any products even though it is a manufacturing site." "I didn't know until today that MinebeaMitsumi's products are used in various products that we use daily such as smartphones and game consoles." "Today's plant tour inspired me to think how I can apply my knowledge of material sciences to manufacturing."
Seeing their surprised faces when they saw and touched our products was truly exciting. It was also a valuable opportunity for us as a company.
We will continue striving to contribute to the public good through events like this plant tour.
