Yonago Plant Volunteers Participate in Cleanup of Nakaumi and Lake Shinji

On June 9 (Sun), 50 volunteers from Yonago Plant have joined to the "Simultaneous Cleanup of the Nakaumi and Lake Shinji".

To protect the environment of Nakaumi and Lake Shinji, listed as Wetlands of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention* (Tottori and Shimane Prefectures), five coastal cities (Yonago, Matsue, Izumo, Sakaiminato, and Yasugi) joined the forces to conduct volunteer activities to clean the shores of both lakes simultaneously.

In Yonago, they cleaned the Minatoyama Park. Approx. 1,350 people from companies, organizations and schools participated in the event, cleaning up the seawall in the Nakaumi, which our rowing club uses for practice.

It rained early in the morning, but by the time the cleanup began, the skies had cleared and the weather was just right for this activity.

Through these social contribution activities, we, MinebeaMitsumi, will continue to protect the natural environment and maintain close ties with local communities.

* Ramsar Convention: A treaty protecting wetlands of international importance which serve as waterfowl habitats, etc.
