Support for the Food Drive of the Miyota-machi Social Council and Komoro-shi Social Council
MinebeaMitsumi Karuizawa Plant held a Food Drive activity on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
The Karuizawa Plant and Minebea Union support the "Food Bank Miyota" conducted by the Miyota-machi Social Welfare Council, and have been conducting activities twice a year since October 2021. This time, which was the fifth time in total, in addition to Miyota-machi, the Komoro-shi Council of Social Welfare also offered to do the same, so we decided to conduct activities in both Miyota-machi and Komoro-shi at the same time.
To publicize the food drive, flyers prepared by the staff were distributed in advance during lunch breaks. As a result, Twenty-nine employees volunteered to donate rice, retort pouch foods, instant foods, seasonings, daily necessities, and sundries. On the day of the food drive, the donate food and goods were divided equally and handed over to the Council of Social Welfare.
For those in need of donations, the Miyota-machi Social Welfare Council distributed them at permanent venues and activity groups, while Komoro-shi Council of Social Welfare distributed them at the "Komoro Kizuna Station" in cooperation with the "Corona Project 2023".
The MinebeaMitsumi Group will continue to engage in such social contribution activities in the future.
