Tour of the Fujisawa Plant by students from Fujisawa City Katase Junior High School
On Tuesday, November 14, MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s Fujisawa Plant hosted a plant tour for five first-year students from nearby Katase Junior High School in Fujisawa City.
The purpose of the visit was to find out "what the company makes," "what kind of products are made," "how big is the factory," etc. at a company (factory) near where we live as part of a field trip for social studies.
During the factory tour, the participants watched a video overview of MinebeaMitsumi Group, received an overview of the factory, observed the actual production site, and touched samples of products and parts to get a feel for how they are used.
Each student was surprised to learn that many of the products made at the Fujisawa Plant are used in our immediate surroundings as part of vehicles, airplanes, and other products that we do not even directly see. Therefore, the students were very interested during their tour of the plant, and those interested in machining seemed to focus on the products produced from the machines in operation, looking forward to growing up to be engineers in the future.
Although the tour was short, it was very impressive to see how each student became interested in our business activities and products, listened intently to the explanations given by our employees, and took notes with great enthusiasm.
MinebeaMitsumi Group will continue to maintain a close relationship with local communities through these social contribution activities.
