Tour of the Hamamatsu Plant by students from Fukuroi City Asaba Junior High School
On Thursday, October 5, MinebeaMitsumi's Hamamatsu Plant hosted a plant tour for 27 first-year students from nearby Fukuroi Municipal Asaba Junior High School.
The members of the Environmental Management Office visited our company for an opportunity to learn about the SDGs, and introduced our SDG initiatives and activities in the environmental field in our CSR activities to raise awareness about our company as well.
The participants also toured the plant's employee cafeteria and deepened their understanding of local production for local consumption, food loss, and our efforts to become carbon neutral by explaining our decarbonization activities and health promotion, among other initiatives.
It was very impressive to see each student interested in the importance of environmental conservation, listening intently to the employee's talk and taking notes with enthusiasm.
MinebeaMitsumi will continue to maintain a close relationship with the local community through these social contribution activities.
