Volunteer employees of the Yonago Plant participate in a cleanup of the Nakaumi Sea and Lake Shinji
On Sunday, June 11, 45 voluntary employees of the Yonago Plant participated in the "Simultaneous Cleanup of the Nakaumi Sea and Lake Shinji".
This year, with the impact of COVID-19 gone, the cleanup was conducted simultaneously by all participants instead of dividing participants into groups to prevent infection.
Yonago City was in charge of cleaning the Minatoyama Park waterfront seawall. About 60 groups and 1,200 people participated, collecting approximately 2 tons of trash from the seawall for the purpose of protecting the natural environment of the Nakaumi Sea.
Light rain was forecast until the day before the event, and there were fears that the event might not take place, but on the day of the event, the skies were cloudy and the weather was just right, making the cleanup a pleasant experience.
Through these social contribution activities, MinebeaMitsumi will continue to protect the natural environment and maintain close ties with local communities.
