Shinshu Azumino Half Marathon sponsored by Honda Tsushin Kogyo
The 9th Shinshu Azumino Half Marathon was held in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, on Sunday, June 4, 2023. The city is home to the Azumino Plant of Honda Tsushin Kogyo (HTK), which has been a sponsor of the event since its inception.
About 50 runners from HTK, Minebea Software Solutions, and MinebeaMitsumi participated in the 9th edition of the race. When volunteers and supporters were added, a total of more than 100 people participated.
Runners enjoyed the Northern Alps stretching out before their eyes and the clean water and fresh air that moistened the fields as they ran through Azumino in early summer. At the HTK water stations along the course, runners were served apple juice and plums. As has become an annual event, local runners passing by the water stations expressed their appreciation for the "Matsumoto Yamaga Fireworks Festival," which HTK sponsors, and it became an opportunity to exchange local support and cheer for HTK with the local community.
The "Shinshu Azumino Half Marathon" is not only a major event for HTK, but also an opportunity to further deepen our interaction with the local community. For this reason, we will continue to value our ties with the local community.
