Spring Cleaning by Mitsumi Electric Yamagata Business Division
On April 20 (Wed.) and 27 (Wed.), 2022, a cleanup was held outside the premises of Mitsumi Electric's Yamagata Business Division. Thirty-two employees worked on city streets, sidewalks, and gutters in the vicinity of the plant on two separate days.
The work consisted of (1) removing moss and other debris with shovels, collecting moss and dust removed with brooms, and packing them into burlap bags, and (2) removing moss and dust that had accumulated at the bottom of gutters. (2) Scoop out the sludge that had accumulated at the bottom of the gutters with a shovel and pack it into jute bags. (3) Dispose of these jute bags at designated collection points. The following is a brief description of the process.
After the cleanup, each participating employee was able to confirm that the area around the office had been cleaned up, and each one of them felt a sense of satisfaction. The cleanup activity also helped employees to work together and promote communication among them.
Through these social contribution activities, the MinebeaMitsumi Group will continue to protect the natural environment and maintain close ties with local communities.
