NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. promote the waste plastic reduction activities
Marine pollution caused by plastic waste has become a major problem in recent years.
NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. started the No Plastic Bags Project in February 2019. This project has set every Wednesday to be plastic bag free day, which there will be no plastic bags given from the plant's canteen.
Employees can enjoy this project by making original eco bags, and by collecting points in smartphone applications when they refuse plastic bags.
We reduced the weight of plastic bags, which were about 241 thousand bags or weight of 355 kg per month.
Furthermore, since 2020, it has been decided that no plastic bags will be used in the plant's canteen every day.
NMB-Minebea Thai continues implementing environmental activities and making efforts to co-exist with nature.
