Yonago Plant Employees Clean up Nakaumi and Lake Shinji
Cleanup activity
MinebeaMitsumi Yonago Plant employees pitched in to help with a cleanup campaign aimed at protecting the shores of Lakes Nakaumi and Shinji. The cleanup campaign, run by Tottori and Shimane Prefecture's five lakeshore municipalities in the area (Yonago, Sakaiminato, Matsue, Yasugi, and Izumo), is held every year in order to clean up the lake sites.
7,500 people participated this year from the five municipalities picking up a total of 12.63 tons of trash. 1,264 people from Yonago municipality participated, including 35 employees from the Yonago Plant.
MinebeaMitsumi looks forward to taking part in similar community and environmental activities in the near future.
Ramsar Convention: A treaty protecting wetlands of international importance which serve as waterfowl habitats, etc.
