NMB-Minebea Thai Assists in Preservation of Reservoir and Surrounding Landscape

NMB-Minebea Thai assisted with maintenance-related activities near the Lop Buri Plant, including repairs to the sluice gates at Huay Yang Nueng Reservoir.

Support was provided for sluice gate repairs (rebuilding pump rooms) and repairs and dredging of the concrete retaining walls along the waterways, work which was completed at the end of October.

A celebration to commemorate the completion was held on November 18. In addition to involved local community members, the party was also attended by 160 employee representatives from the plants in Thailand. Following the formal opening of the sluice gates, employee representatives released 100,000 fry into the reservoir and planted trees in the surrounding area (14,400m2) as part of natural preservation activities.

A large portion of the cost for these maintenance and natural preservation activities, a total of 3,855,039 baht (approx. 12,740,561 yen), was provided by NMB-Minebea Thai employees.

NMB-Minebea Thai looks forward to continued involvement in the local community through such contributions in the future.
