Giving Science Lessons at Minokaya Elementary School in Yonago City
The Yonago Plant made a school visit at nearby Minokaya Elementary School in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture.
The special lesson in fifth-grade science class on the theme of "Let's Learn about Motors" started with an explanation of the mechanism of the motor, after which the children assembled and completed simple motors themselves. The children enjoyed the difficultly and pleasure of craftsmanship, experiences not available in normal lessons.
It was a valuable experience for the two engineers who took gave the lesson to encounter the difficulty of teaching and the earnestness of the children.
The Yonago Plant will continue to cooperate with local schools going forward as well.
