Junior High Kid Explores Working World at Karuizawa Plant
Minebea's Karuizawa Plant in Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture opened its doors to a second-year student enrolled at Karuizawa Junior High School in the adjacent town of Karuizawa as part of the school's work experience program.
This was the first time Karuizawa Junior High had asked Minebea to take part in the program. Designed to give students the chance to experience the ups and downs of the work world, the program gets youngsters thinking about what they are going to do in the future. The participating student got some hands-on experience in assembly operations at the Karuizawa Plant's Ball Bearing Business Unit.
Later on in the mail were a thank you note from the student who completed the program and his teacher. They were thankful for having a valuable experience by learning how a ball bearing is assembled.
Honored to have had a hand in shaping this student's life, Minebea looks forward to participating in similar community activities in the future.
